Welcome back! Today is an A day at all of our schools. Remember you can see what's for lunch on any of our school websites or in the FZ app. Just click Menu at the top and then the dining button. Hope it's a beautiful day!
As we wrap up this Friday we wanted to thank @showmestlouis for stopping in at Mount Hope Elementary to hear about the first week of school. We can't wait to get back Monday and start Week 2!
The response to our new online meal payment system has been terrific! You can find directions on how to get your account set up on our Student Nutrition page. Once you're set up, you'll be able to one-click to the system using the LunchTime tab from the Family Portal. LunchTime helps you see your student's balance, set up low balance reminders and balance notifications, make on-line deposits and more. Visit our Student Nutrition page: https://ftzumwaltsdmo.sites.thrillshare.com/o/fzsd/page/student-nutrition
The new school year starts Monday, Aug. 19, 2024.

Bus riders: Please remember the ride home takes a bit longer the first few days as everyone gets used to their new routine. Our principals and Transportation Department will send updates as needed. Families should have received a text to help you find your bus stop and pick-up time. The link is also posted as an announcement when you log in to the new portal.
Click Menu, then Dining on our school websites to see what's for breakfast and lunch. Be sure you use the pulldown to select Next Week.
See you Monday!

Have you completed your Summer Challenge Board? Marshall and Lexie are getting their Boards all filled in. It looks like they both had a great time with the swimming challenge! Remember, a student can earn a small prize for just filling in one full row for a regular BINGO! Or, for all students who have completed every activity for a BLACKOUT BINGO, we will have a fun-filled celebration once school is back in session. Enjoy the rest of your summer. We can't wait to celebrate with you!!
It's here! Families should have received an email with details on creating your account in the new FZSD Family Portal app. (Please be sure to check your spam and junk folders before reaching out to your school about not receiving the email.) Annual Enrollment Update documents are available for you to complete so your family is ready for the first day of school Aug. 19. Thanks for your patience as we all grow together in this new system.

As they wrapped up the school year, 6th and 7th graders at North Middle signed a beam that will be placed in the new addition while they are on summer break. They will see big changes when they return in August. You can learn more on the North Middle website. The two-story addition is scheduled to be complete by December.
Welcome to the last week of the 2023-2024 school year! Important things for families to do this week:
Check for and pay fines and fees in the parent portal. (Did you know the district currently has more than $80,000 in outstanding meal account payments?)
Pick up any prescription medications from the clinic.
Remember sunscreen and water if your student(s) celebrate Field Day.
Pack a disposable lunch bag if your student(s) pack lunch on the last day.
Schedule your student(s) to get their vaccinations updated if they will be in Kindergarten, 8th or 12th grade next fall so they are ready to return in August.
Watch your email inbox for important updates this summer.
Plan your summer reading list!
Begin with the end in mind! As seniors who used to walk the MHE halls came back for one final walk through, our students were not only able to celebrate them, but also begin setting goals toward their own graduation one day.
We had a royally good time celebrating Q - Queen day yesterday! Many kindergarteners, and even a few older students, came to school ready to rule the kingdom!
The annual FZ Art Show is open 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Professional Development Center today and tomorrow, and from 9 a.m. - Noon on Friday.
It is P - "p" - Pirate Day in Kindergarten and our youngest Huskies did not disappoint! Arghh Matey!
Mount Hope's art show was another huge success! Classical music played through the intercom as students and their families enjoyed the work created by our very own Huskies! Students enjoyed pointing out their work to their friends and families as much as they did becoming part of the work with the photo opportunities around the building. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our artists, and Mrs. Frank for her guidance in helping students create the work as well as setting up the displays!
Record Breaking Recorder Player! Connor is the first student in THREE YEARS to earn his black belt on the Recorder Belt Challenge. His classmates' cheers could be heard throughout the hall in support of his milestone!
